I recently purchase a Chromebook and to broaden my computer skills and this is what I discovered. As for the price, platform stability, streaming and performance it's worth every penny. In a world were Microsoft rules you just need to find the right extensions and it can work, but nothings perfect.

The only reason why this became a Windows world was because of great marketing tactics and the monopoly power it played when it became the big player on the block. And like everything else it controlled on what platform the world was going to follow.

The only way technology can move forward is by creating new ideas. Chromebook is nothing new but the Linux kernal it's been around for a while. I recently was able to try out Gmail Inbox and was at first very excited to be a given the opportunity to try emails in a different way. The technology is similar to Dropbox Mail and it has great features but how can you compile all of Gmail functionality take separates them from their competitor and do something new without those features. Fixing Network Connections
Windows 7 has it's good and it's bad and one thing that is fustrating is when you are already on a network and Window then refuses to recognize it. For those user's with this constant network connection problems were drivers are no longer accessible, try this.

Fixed it. I fixed it by uninstalling the "File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks" on the network adaptor, reinstalling it and then restarting the computer. After the re-start things are now back to normal.
To uninstall the "File and Printer sharing for microsoft networks" in windows 7/Server 2008:
- Go to Network and Sharing Center from the control panel.
- Click change adaptor settings on the left hand side.
- Right click the network adaptor (if you have more than one you may need to do this on all of them).
- Select "Properties" from the list.
- In the "This connection uses the following items:" select "File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks".
- Click the "Uninstall" button.
- Click "Yes" when the conformation box appears and wait for it to uninstall ("File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks" will disappear from the "This connection uses the following items:" box once uninstalled).
- Click the "Install" button.
- Select "Service" from the "Click the type of network feature you want to install:" box.
- Select "File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks" from the "Network Service" box.
- Click "OK" and it should install in less than a few seconds ("File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks" will reappear in the "This connection uses the following items:" box once installed).
- Restart the computer and the problem should be fixed.
